Driving Lesson Number 20.
Ok, so not quite what I said was going to happen today. We didn't get any parallel parks done, but we did get one turn in the road done and had a brilliant laugh doing emergency stops!! Hehehehe! I don't know if it was meant to be as funny as it was, but I just couldn't help laughing!
I tried a couple of times but was too light on the brakes, so I would've knocked any poor kids down who dared to walk out on me, so my instructor said he'd show me how to do it. Now when I said stop, he stopped alright, but his bottle of water shot off the back seat, right to the front and down onto the floor under the pedals! Tee hee! So the joke was, if I could get the water to fly then I'd nailed it!
So now it was my turn again. I didn't manage to make the water fly, but I did manage a pretty good stop, although I managed to stall because I didn't get my foot on the clutch quick enough. D'oh! Not a fail though so we had another go. This time was better and although the water didn't go, something flew off the back seat and hit the back of my seat so I knew I'd got the brakes right!
I also managed to get round the corner towards the test centre without my foot on the clutch going round the corner! Woohoo!!
It's definitely coming together now so I've decided it's time to apply for my theory test. Details of that when it happens!
