Driving Lesson Number 21.

Yikes! I've always worn the same shoes for driving, (once I found the ones I was best in anyway!) but thought I'd give it a go in something different this week because my trainers really didn't go with the top I was wearing! (No, I'm not vain, it just isn't a trainers type top!) Anyway, I put my boots on again and god, I almost instantly wished I hadn't! It just didn't feel right and it took a few minutes to get going properly. Luckily, I didn't do anything too badly, although I did stall at one roundabout because I didn't have my foot down on the accelerator hard enough, so I'll be going back to my trainers next week, whatever the clothes!

This week was parallel parking and parking in a bay. Now the parking in a bay went really well, although we had a bit of a queue in the test centre as everyone likely had the same idea! I managed 3 no problem at all, so it was off to find a parallel park opportunity.

I found that harder to do as I couldn't keep my speed down as much as I'd like, though I did only hit the kerb once, and that was on my own road when I got home!! D'oh!! It wasn't a hard hit though, just a little touch and we didn't bounce or anything so I wasn't too bothered about it.

Next week we're going to concentrate on reversing round a corner again because I feel I need more practise on them, as well as the parallels!
