Driving Lesson Number 22.
Went back to my trainers today and all was well on the roads again! Phew!
Once again we didn't do what I said we were going to do so I may stop announcing what's going to happen!
My instructor decided that I really needed to be out on the open roads again because it's been so long since we did it now, we've concentrated on town and manouvres.
We headed up to Seaton and practised clutch control when coming up to junctions on slight hills which I, unusally, found quite hard to get into. The first one I tried I managed to totally bodge it up and rolled back slightly! We went round the block and I did it much better so we tried a few more on different roads.
After that we headed along the back roads to Flimby and tried a couple of reverse round a corner. I really, REALLY can't get the hang of them, even though my very first one was perfect!! I'm hoping that it doesn't come up on my test, or I at least manage to get them better before I get that far! Ideally I'd have a turn in the road, bay parking and at a push, a parallel park but you can bet your bottom dollar they'll get me to do the corner one!!
After a few attempts at that (thanks kids that were very annoying at circling the car!!) we headed back into town for a couple more clutch controls by the library, hitting a couple of roundabouts (not literally, I'm not that bad!!) on way with minimal traffic at both! Yay!
At this point, the hour was almost up so we headed for home and I parked the most perfect park I think I've ever done! Extremely smooth, slow and no bumping, jumping or stalling! Woohoo!!
My theory test is just over a week away so I think it's really time to swat up on that side for the next week...

I'm pretty sure I had to do all the things they teach on my test. Emergency stop, reverse a corner, parallel park etc. . . have they changed this?

I think you only have to do 3 out of the 4 manouvres, though I could be wrong! I did better today anyway! I'll update shortly!
