What To Blog...

Well nothing much has happened this weekend so I haven't a clue what to blog about, but feel like I should say something, if only to keep it kinda frequent again!

Yesterday afternoon was spent trying to find a new fish tank for the father-in-law, which he eventually bought today and which hubby then spent hours setting up ready for new fish! I, on the other hand, spent a fun filled afternoon cleaning out the hamster cage! Ok, so possibly not all that exciting to many, but you should've seen them go once they were in the play box! I put loads of wood shavings in out of the cage so that it felt kinda home from home, then they got the seesaw, a piece of apple, a treat bar and their water bottle. Well the water bottle lasted all of 5 minutes before it got knocked over, so I took it out before one of them got hurt! In and out of the seesaw they both went, Fudge managing to climb on top of it too and racing Smudge from one end to the other, then burrowing in the wood shavings, jumping on the apple, burrowing again and back through the seesaw! Honestly, they had me knackered just watching them!

Then came the fun part, trying to get them back in the cage once it had been suitably cleaned and disinfected. Well, you've seen nothing like it! Everytime I went near one of them, they shot off and kept going in the seesaw, so I ended up picking it up, covering both ends and then letting them come out onto my hand before quickly cupping my hands to get them back in the cage! Hopefully, once we've had them for a while, they'll be more used to us and they've happily climb onto our hands, but they're still young just yet and I daren't keep them in my hand for too long just in case they escape and we can't catch them!

As soon as they were back in the cage, it was off for a run for Fudge and time for a sleep for Smudge. He really is a lazy little bugger! The pair of them take after their owners! Fudge being my son's and Smudge, my daughter's!

With a bit of luck, it'll stay a bit cleaner this week with no food stopping the wheel from turning, but I won't bank on that and will probably have to get the hoover out again tomorrow morning!
